My Relationships With Other People

“Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.” Galatians 6:9-10

What does this mean in practical terms?

As far as it is within my power I must strive to be at peace with all people and be holy in my manner of life. Rom 12:18; Rom 14:19; 2Cor 13:11; Eph 4:3; Heb 12:14
I must be zealous to do good, not growing tired of doing what is right but always abounding in the work of the Lord. 1Cor 15:58; 2Thess 3:13; Titus 2:14; Heb 6:11-12
It is my duty to help others, but any charitable deeds must be in secret not to gain the praise of men, but rather as Jesus said: “do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing”. Matt 6:1-4
I must care for those less fortunate than myself. If somebody asks me for help or I see somebody in need then it is my duty to give willingly and cheerfully for God ‘loves a cheerful giver’ and is well pleased with such sacrifices. Matt 5:42; Rom 12:13; 2Cor 9:6-8; Heb 13:16; Jas 1:27
I will be careful about choosing my friends and about who I will socialise with because friends may hinder my efforts to follow Christ. 1Cor 5:6-7; 1Cor 15:33
