WHAT WILL GOD'S KINGDOM BE LIKE?The Millennium
Introduction.Life is full of problems both for individuals and in society as a whole. Man seeks to resolve his problems by scientific knowledge and by applying that knowledge to providing technological solutions to world problems. Problems such as pollution, dwindling world resources, the population explosion, famine and many other similar difficulties. Wherever we look in the world there are ever growing problems caused by violence in society, political turmoil, crime, oppression and poverty. Man just cannot find the answers to his problems despite all his efforts. For those who do have a belief in God, Christendom in general is astray from the only real hope held out in God's word. The idea of heaven going has no substance in it, and indeed offers no solution to those living in this present unhappy state, prone to disease, disability, injustice and the myriads of problems that beset mankind. What of those living out their lives now, going to heaven at death, even if this were the case; which I do not believe the Bible teaches; still offers no solution for this life. The only real hope is to go back to basics - Bible basics. The biblical view is of God's Kingdom being on earth. Jesus Christ will return to set up God's Kingdom. What this world needs is a strong, just, world wide government. Jesus will reign for an initial period of 1000 yrs, during which time the world will change dramatically. So we will try to answer the questions: What changes? How will things be different. There are so many area's of life that will be changed, when Jesus returns to set up God's Kingdom and rule the earth in righteousness. For example just consider the changes in the following area's of life. |
